So, last night while Cynra was off at the CoRo show (thankfully not getting molested by Adam Busch's eyes; we know your tricks, Warren!), YHB took the opportunity to head to visit
ketronic for some massage therapy (no, really; she's an RMT). On the way home I decided against any of the standard dinner options (KFC on a Tuesday is suicide because of their Twonie Tuesday promotion), and instead headed out to give Much Burrito a try.
Btw, when did Burritos become the new fast food of choice in the 'Saug? There's Chorizo's and now the MB franchise, but you still can't find a good takeaway curry. Their website is well put together. They have a mailing list, a good menu list, and are apparently even will have nutritional information, and it's very simple and pleasing to the eye.
Anyway, I decided to indulge in the Much Burrito. Oh, man, what a foolish move on my part. I need to realize that, as I age, my capacity to eat things larger than my head (which, as
twillitts will happily tell you, is huge) has diminished. This was a big burrito. No, seriously. HUGE. When he put it down I thought "This is a fairly large tortilla". Then he ladled on the rice, and the peppers, and the meat, and the fear began to fall on my face. I almost said "no, that's enough guacamole" at one point. Almost.
I lugged Burritozilla home, fed los gatos, and popped open my diet Dr. Pepper, and dug in. It was a fight, let me tell you. I actually had to stop and rest between segments. I watched the Simpons Treehouse of Mediocrity DCLXVI. Man, you'd think it wouldn't be that hard to do a good halloween episode, but you'd be wrong. The War of the Worlds bit (a year late, a dollar short) was enjoyable (viva LaMarche!), but Homer as Blob was not (oh, yay, Dr. Phil.), and I can't remember what the middle one was. Wikipedia reminds me that it was a story of the Golem. See? Twelve hours later, and it's gone from my mind.
Anyway, I spent time waiting for Cynra to get back playing Sim City 4. Still hate how they do bus transit (You'd think
gurudata worked on it). I've never been on a bus that required me to walk to a bus staition and that would only drive to another bus station. That and their 1970s understanding of incineration is annoying. Otherwise? Addictive.

Date: 2006-11-08 06:42 pm (UTC)Guess I won't bother with the Treehouse of Suckocity episode I recorded and never watched, then. Good looking out, man.
Rice, but no beans? *tsks* Moes Southwest Grill (http://www.moes.com/) has a pretty monstrous burrito called a "homewrecker" that is to die for. I once (and only once) ate two of them, to my then gf's surprise.

Dude, LaMarche as in Maurice? Are you telling me that The Brain was on The Simpsons? I haven't watched The Simpsons in many years, but I'd watch it for that...
