Lost: A day and a bit later

Ah, it continues to simmer.
Sayeed's little mixup reminds me of something that happened to me once while playing a video game. The game was a small unit Fantasy game, where you built characters, equipped them, and were assigned a mission. My mission was to stop a troop of death knights from passing through the forest. The map was a forest with a road through it. So I set up an ambush with pits and traps that would put the death knights into an enfilade from my archers.
So, I sat there and waited. And waited. And waited. And then, was informed I had failed. WTF? Turns out the death knights, being lateral thinkers, went through the forest instead of taking the road.
Whoops.
And that's what Sayeed did. He assumed (perhaps logically) that the Others would go after them, while they had the plan of "get the boat". Whoops.
Jin/Sun flashback: plesae note, it was not for either of them, but for both. It started with Sun, went to both, and then was Jin alone. Now, they obviously have the closest relationship of any of the characters. I wonder if we'll see flashbacks that refer to both of other lostaways with connections.
I wonder why Mr. Pak came in like that. Did he know she was meeting the English speaking guy all along? Did he have her under surveillance? Even when they were bumping uglies? I had assumed that they hadn't done the nasty, but it appears I was wrong. So, does this mean he could be the daddy? I guess it depends on when the whole sequence took place.
And Sun shot at least one other. Someone pointed out it was the woman who was with the guy handling Sawyer & Kate. That could turn out poorly for them, if his self-discipline is weak.
Good to see Alex again. I must wonder what her connection was to the guy in the cage (the guy who was a good hand with locks). Sawyer is planning on getting out, as is apparent, and I have to wonder what the Others are doing with them. They obviously don't NEED Sawyer & Kate to haul away rocks. And what does Benry need Jack to do? And isn't it nice that Jack finally found out that the Sox won. Are their files that complete that it has 'favourite team'? Do they have OHOTMU entries for all the Lostaways?

I doubt he'll get anywhere, as Benry was listening in on that conversation.
And what does Benry need Jack to do?
I wonder too. He's definitely getting preferential treatment when you look at how Sawyer and Kate are being treated.
And like you, I seem to have more questions than answers about what's going on.
