Jesus (pronounced Hay-Zeus)
Oct. 8th, 2006 12:27 pmWell, after the successful salsa incident a couple weeks ago, we're doing a salsa cooking competition at work on Tuesday. I'll be taking a serving of my homemade Salsa for the event.
However, I also, in a moment of weakness, bought a quart of tomatillos at the market yesterday in order to make salsa verde.
Holy Crap that was a mistake. You ever see the huge variety of salsa verde recipes out there? Boil the tomatillos, broil the tomatillos, toss them straight into a blender. Man.
I may broil them, just because roasted flavour tends to go over well with this crowd.
Anyone got any guidance? Good recipies that have worked for you? I got a couple serranos and a couple jalepenos as well as some frozen cilantro and can get some fresh if need be.
