Read somewhere a while back that the actual tryptophan levels in your turkey dinner is actually really, really low. Any grogginess you may experience after eating your harvest meal (and did you SEE that moon out there? Gorgeous!) is due to the fact you just ate a GIANT MEAL!

This is good, as otherwise the amount of poulty that will have entered my system by the end of the two day period ending Saturday would be considered a suicide attempt.

Apparently a lot of it is due to the quantity of starchy food (potato, stuffing, etc) - all the blood rushes to the stomach to handle the food, and thus leaves the brain low on the red juice, leading to sleepiness. Or something like that.

Hope your Thanksgiving is good - I'm stuck in Singapore, where they think a turkey is a country somewhere near Greece...

Yeah, I should be back in-country by the end of November, and by the 10th I might even be feeling human again.
