Sep. 26th, 2006 11:48 amWell, last night NCB premiered its new superpowered people TV show, Heroes. Some people liked it a lot. Some disliked it equally. In the interest of asking people random questions, what did you think?

Date: 2006-09-26 04:04 pm (UTC)The webcam chick with the haunted mirror is uninteresting, but I wonder what will happen with her kid. The Doctor was never used except for the aforementioned exposition. Pallative Nurse Lad was annoying, although Super Profit could have potential (You'll Believe a Politician Can Fly!). The Artist Formerlly Known as Precognitive did very little, although will possibly be useable as a connective device.
Super Hiro was cute, although even I found him annoying after a while. The Cheerleader of Steel is neat and gross, but you gotta watch out for food disposals, lemme tell you.
We're still yet to see the cop and the crook; is the crook the cam mom's baby daddy?

Hiro is the main character in every anime ever made. ;)

Date: 2006-09-26 04:22 pm (UTC)Heroes is not yet a "Must Watch", but I do want to watch at least one more episode before I pass gladiatorial arena style judgement on it.

Date: 2006-09-26 04:44 pm (UTC)Eureka has a neat concept but isn't living up to it. Heroes gets a "superhero pass" to start going somewhere.

Date: 2006-09-26 04:46 pm (UTC)Man, right? Any other show starts out like this, I'm never watching it again. But because it's got superheroes in it, even though I didn't really like it, I'm sure I'll be in front of the box again Monday. I suck.

Date: 2006-09-27 02:03 am (UTC)Eureka has a neat concept but is too trite for my taste. Of course, I only watched the first 3-4 episodes before getting fed up with it.

Date: 2006-09-26 05:51 pm (UTC)Eureka? I managed to sit through it, fidgeting more and more, but knowing that if I picked up a book
Jericho? There's a lot about it I like, but then I've always been an fan of apocalyptic-event fiction. So far this is my favourite of the three.
Heroes, as
Still, I like the characters I've seen. I like what they've shown us so far. And I prefer it to Eureka.

Date: 2006-09-26 04:27 pm (UTC)I watched about 10 minutes of it, and didn't dislike it, but wasn't interested enough to keep watching as opposed to getting up and playing WoW.

Date: 2006-09-27 02:08 am (UTC)I think it's too early to tell. It's still in the process of setting everything up. That being said, Super Hiro is easily the best of the lot we've seen. The nurse is a whiny punk, and I totally did not expect the brother to be the one who flew.
Professor-turned-taxi driver is intriguing to me. Artist dude didn't have enough air time to say anything about him, really.
I kinda like the indestructible chick; her father was somewhat of a twist. I think it's got lots of potential, and I'll be watching it for a few weeks before I make a decision on it. (As a rule of thumb, I like to give a new show at least 3 episodes.)
