Apparently, Uwe Boll went through with his challenge to beat the crap out of some Internet critics. I personally would have liked to see it, if only to see an AICN rep shed blood.

Apparently he also whupped a Rue Morgue writer. Man. Apparently, Boll used to box as a teen, and practiced with the stuntmen on Postal. The beatings will be available on the DVD as an extra.

Man. I hate his movies, but on one level you have to admire his Viking Retort Methodology. He's like a bully in the parking lot after the big school dance. He's not getting any lovin' in the back seat of the Chevette*, so he's just itching for a fight.

You gotta give him credit for wanting to defend his "art", even when he knows there's no defense for it. If nothing else, I think you can admire the guy for the passion he feels for his product.

Sure, it's shite, I'll never watch any more of it (20 minutes of House of the Dead was enough for me), but I still have to give him his props for standing behind it 100%.

I'm not sure how tall you are, but let me assure you that unless you're a midget, there was never any lovin' in the backseat of a chevette. I lost my virginity in the front seat, laid all the way back, of a Chevette.

As for Uwe, I think he's a complete moron, I think his movies are complete shite, but I gotta respect him. Especially since this was a boxing match, and not just a fist-fight (as I thought was being stated from the original post.)

I'm no Boll fan... but if someone offers to take on all comers in ANYTHING, chances are they're pretty good at it.
The thing to do would be to sit back and laugh at what a stupid challenge it is. I'm having trouble feeling sorry for Lowtax et al.

They've both made careers out of being total dicks, after a fashion.
Lowtax is beloved by millions and Boll is a millionaire. I don't care to speculate as to which one is actually "successful" as I really hate both of them.
