Big Money! Big Prizes! I Love It!
Sep. 25th, 2006 11:57 amIn other fun, yesterday Cynra & I, after an evening of Televisual entertainment that inlcuded TAR episode 2, with no more shennanigans, the previous Survivor (declarations of love? Officially not a good strategy) and Eureka (a show with a good premise, but the leads seem kind of weak. At least Joe Morton is still good) decided to play some xbox, as it was lonely.
I popped in my Midway Arcade compilation for a bit, and we played Smash TV through to the end. For the benefit of those watching at home, Smash TV was an arcade game from the late '80s (1990 is late '80s) that surmised that someday people would kill hundreds for big prizes. It was fun, although afterwards we had both lost all feeling in our thumbs.
Just thinking about how many quarters it would have cost us to play all the way through if it was in an arcade made the purchase worth it. And we haven't even played Joust yet!

Nay! Not only must he repent, but he must do extra penance. Aye, he must be covered in grease and photo.... no, that wouldn't be good.
He must play extra hours of JOUST, ignoring all the other games.
Except for maybe SPYHUNTER, b/c it's just too damn cool.

Date: 2006-09-26 03:13 pm (UTC)Yeah, I can see how MM wouldn't be as much fun w/o a trackball.
I'm not sure I remember Rampart to say.
Joust? What's up with not being down with THAT? Joust was awesome fun, dude.
