Hoo'd Win: Part Second Rate Armoured Suit Wearing Guys

There comes a time in every comic company's existence when a group of men must don armour built by the lowest bidder and sail into the skies to defend their homeland against various aggressors, many of whom will open them up like tin cans and feast on the chicken meat inside.

Which of these armoured gladiators is, then, the most awesome? Who strides the battlefield, or at least is striden upon on the battlefield, like an armoured colossus (not to be confused with an armoured Colossus, which would be redundant).

Dave Campbell, proprietor of Dave's Longbox posed that question to his loyal readers, and I am nothing if not a copycat.

So! Who will it be! Soviet Super Scientifice Somethings? The Toughest Screws to ever Walk a Block in the Vault, if by Toughest you mean Most Likely to be Cockpunched into unconciosness by the Juggernaut? Or the Mandroids, who, well, wouldn't make good traffic guards?

Okay, probably not the Mandroids.

I chose the Guardsmen, because Stark built their armor. Tony Stark knows two things: Booze, and Armor. And hot women. OK, make that three things.

As a survivor of the Cold War, I know that Soviet equipment never lived up to its press. And no one's going to pick Mandroids except to be contrary.
