Dude, without spoiling too much, apparently "Lady In The Water" deals with the eternal conflict between Narfs and Scrunts.

Shymalan has lost the plot. It started with the alien movie, then became much more pronounced with The Village. He's finally been eaten by his own ego with this Lady Water film.
