It was worth exactly what one guy wanted to pay for it. It's entirely possible it got inflated artificially, and will actually go for $20.

I *loved* Magic Slates as a kid.

The last one I remember seeing in the stores was a "BLACK CAULDRON" one, and that must have been around 1986.
