Dude. That post was a very mild few paragraphs.

It's pretty impressive that you can generate a rant from 'just... disappointing' and 'If you can't recognize the Purple Healing Ray, you officially can’t be a comics reviewer.'

Like, I would think it takes 'sucks' or 'fucktard' or 'head up his ass' to make people get upset. But apparently, polite criticism of CRITICISM is like, totally worth getting upset about.

Yep. Because I was obviously very serious in my putting my foot down on his comics career. Hell, what is he doing writing a followup post? That bastard!

The only part that irked me was that he made some comment about "they're only comics" (paraphrased). Which is to say: why bother reviewing them if they're only comix. I mean... they are only comix, and relative to the real world it's important to remember that... but if you're reviewing them, then they're more than that. Aren't they?

Of course, I haven't any clue about any sort of critical depth to this guy's reviews... not being a comix person and not having read the site until his complaining post.

Up until I read the lj comments for your previous entry I didn't think the post he'd made was directed at you... what with you not explicitly saying you were done reading his reviews on account of him not knowing about the significance of a purple happy ray, or whatever it is.

Actually, I enjoyed most of his stuff. His reviews of the previous trades for the Infinite Preperation were interesting. I just thought it was amusing that he didn't get the Purple Death Ray, and made such a big point of not getting it.

I think I'll go back and read some of his future stuff, and like it, just to piss him off.
