Okay, so Cynra & I are looking into the con this weekend, and we couldn't find anything on the website about programming(i.e. what's happening, when). The front page says they have gaming, so I'm assuming there'll be at least a couple Blue Rose events*.

Did we look in the wrong place, or is it just not Mac friendly?

Which would be an amusing coincidence, in a way. I'm tempted to call it Irony, but that would cause [livejournal.com profile] luciancarter to have an aneurism.

*Does assuming that make me a bad person?

The pocket program is a pdf, but it may help:

It does seem to be a pretty uninformative site ... even in Windows.

I'm on a bunch of panels, and I don't know when they are, so it's not just you :)

Only if they've told you what panels you're on. Which they haven't. Although, I expect I'll be doing the Tanya Huff reading...

You should be receiving something tonight - [livejournal.com profile] plaidlibrarian is feverishly putting the panelist letters together as I write this.

Might not have occured to them and/or not enough people to run a gaming track.

Well, considering that everyone whom we approached to run gaming turned us down ([livejournal.com profile] luciancarter, [livejournal.com profile] unayok and one or two others - I didn't approach you because I didn't think you'd have any interest in the con), we found ourselves forced to forgo that area insofar as setting aside a dedicated room was concerned.

Similarly, there were *zero* gaming panel suggestions that came in via the form on the site. Since I know next to nothing about the topic, and we didn't have anyone on concom who knew all that much on the topic, again, we had to make do with what we did receive.

There is a tradition of gaming in the Con Suite, however. Our Con Suite will be no different.

That's fine. I wasn't criticizing your comment, just explaining the reasons. :) (BTW, I found out about this post from [livejournal.com profile] elizard100 - she suggested that I pop over.)

The whole "SF, fantasy horror, gaming..." blurb is the con's motto, but when there isn't anyone willing to run an area, what can you do... it's frustrating.

And it's the reason why I'm running the Art Show, of all things...

[livejournal.com profile] thespian is our head of Publicity, and was also trying to get us a DJ for the dance and a few other things. As such I felt I didn't want to add to her workload.

She said she's bringing some Looney Labs games for the Con Suite, though...
