Several years ago, Bill Walton delved deep into the wickedness that lay within popular entertainments such as Dungeons & Dragons and the Harry Potter books (next one due 7/7/7!).

In this hard hitting investigation (no, really, you should see him hit the pavement) he goes after... THE TRUTH.

God bless him.

For something more serious, those of you with kids may be interested in the Young Person's Adventure League.

Thanks for the link. Bill Walton is the kind of investigative journalist we should all strive to be. Except for maybe the whole feather fall thing...

I think it was Tracey Hickman who wrote an article about a game writer who tried to talk to a church group (or something) about D&D. He asked for a volunteer, and said he was going to cast a spell. He rolled a die, and said "Oh no! Nothing happened." And the volunteer replied "That's because I'm protected by the Holy Spirit!"

He just doesn't know the right components. I fireballed somebody yesterday. Punk deserved it.

Of course, you have to reach a certain experience level before you can use the real thing. Apparently he's not as high level as he thinks.
