You know, I'm a pretty shallow, easy to please, mellow guy. I like it when everyone gets along (in fact, I kind of insist on it), and don't like it when people argue.

But sometimes, really, it's nice to see some pretentious git get a resounding group backhand, as in this post in the roleplayers community.

I have nothing, btw, against old school gamers, Roleplayers, or anything similar. This hobby's too small and I'm too old to put up with anyone going "you're doing it wrong!"

Unless, of course, they are doing in wrong.

For the rest of it, this guy isn't saying anything that anyone with a brain says at the Forge. All my cool Forge friends would mock him too. As would all my cool non-Forge friends.

So really, it isn't Forge vs Non-Forge, so much as it is Cool vs Dork.

Wow. His response even invokes Aria. I'm rather awed by his abiility to very thinly cover lots of ground.

And his answer to 1&2? Sour grapes, "they're doing it wrong". And I can't understand what the hell he's talking about about cons. I doubt he's ever worked one, from the sounds of things.

Toronto has Boston beat, if he's the resident kook, though. Pierre Savoie took the gold medal in kookery.
