Have you read any of the classic stuff? The Great Darkness Saga is like a plate of perfect nachos, with no dry nachos on the bottom or soggy nachos on top.
Wait, what Legion are we referring to? Are we referring to Mark Waid's brilliant reinvention of the Legion of Super Heroes, or some other, more shadowly Legion?
Personally, I'm enjoying the hell out of the Waid era. It got a lot of action but it's also the funniest I remember the Legion being. I still wonder what Brainiac did with all those goats.
I think it's a new reboot. It's pretty fun, the first graphic novel just came out and Waid has a lot of fun with various concepts and he injects considerably levity into the proceedings. He makes the Legion into a youth movement, for example, and it's not a joke: one of the ongoing themes is that youth have to organize to protect the world, not to mention themselves.
Also, it's nice to see Karate Kid finally getting used well.
