Yep.

Okay, so my Bro and I are talking on the phone about 4 years ago. He's taking Environmental Engineering at Guelph, and I'm taking Slackology at Slumber Cottage.

Anyway, he's talking about how they're trying to think of a biodegradable product that could be used to cheaply replace Styrofoam, because that stuff is just evil.

And I, having read too much SF in my life, say "Soy. It's the perfect substance."

Anyway, he got fucked for the patent rights (he gets 90% of the first 100K, 10% of everything else, so unless it's bigger than plastic...), but I still want a special thanks, dammit!

Unless, of course, I've dreamed the whole thing.

The store I work at already receives wheat-based packing peanuts over styrofoam 90% of the time. Ten percent royalties in perpetuity on a potentially ubiquitous item is nothing to sneeze at, even if it isn't bigger than plastic.

You idiot! You mad, impetuous fool!!

Soylent Packing Material is made of PEANUTS! PEEEEEAAANUTS!!!

If your brother gets rich, he should hire you at his company. And me as well, because I met him once.

Technically speaking, most of the packing material you will encounter will be expandable polystyrene, rather than Styrofoam in particular, because Dow Chemicals owns the trademark for Styrofoam and they're rather possessive.

I know this because I work for one of Canada's top ten polluters!

I work for NOVA Chemicals. I'm not positive about the "top ten polluters in Canada" thing, to be honest, but it sure sounds good!
