Well, it looks like Big Bill has started up a video club.

For a one-time annual fee (so, is it one time, or is it annual? Or do most annual fees get charged more than once a year?) Bill the Shat (needed quickly: Bill the Cat with The Shat's head! Stat!) will send you a genre DVD a month.

From The Shat's lips to your ears: "There is nothing quite as exhilarating as discovering a Sci-Fi, Fantasy or Horror classic-to-be that has gone unnoticed by the general movie watching population. I've personally chosen a select group of movies that were entertaining, original, and memorable to share with you. I hope that you enjoy them as much as I did."

So, yeah, a cult film a month for $4. It's also comforting to know that William Shatner respects my privacy.

Hmmm. I've been dying to see Immortel, one of the featured selections, but am as leary as a cat after a book dropped when it comes to joining things.

Well, "Ginger Snaps" is great (although the US DVD sucks and that looks like what we get) and I've heard interesting things about "Immortel", but I'd sooner see "Catwoman" again than watch a Sci-Fi Channel "Original" Movie. I wouldn't pay $4 for that crap. I have SOME dignity!

Yep. It's like joining a book club but ONLY getting the monthly selection. It's a big 'ol crapshoot.

Interesting idea, though. Not for me.
