Dr. Who ruminations.
Dec. 28th, 2005 02:30 pmChristmas Invasion thoughts:
So, the Scyorax had goofy costumes, practiced blood magic, and apparently think they "rock".
Apparently, Earth was invaded by the extra-terrestrial version of the K.I.S.S. Army.

Date: 2005-12-30 11:14 pm (UTC)An invasion of Earth isn't important? The Doctor struggling through his regeneration isn't of import? Granted, we know things will 'work out', but that's where that whole willing suspension of disbelief part of the social contract between the viewer and the telly comes into play.
And I didn't find anything that didn't make sense, so I'm wondering what the hell you were watching. It's Doctor Who, not rocket scientistry.

Date: 2005-12-30 11:25 pm (UTC)The pacing was predictable - things would come to a head, The Doctor would make a last minute save (never said it was the most original episode, but it was fun) and then Torchwood, who didn't do squat during the entire episode, though they taunted us with them throughout (though most of us already knew that Torchwood is Captain Jack's show/group/whatever) would do something at the end, and The Doctor would be pissed off at the Earth again.
