Because, you know what I'd do? I'd take that picture of the new CGI girl with 'leet skateboard skills that they're adding to the Winnie the Pooh show and photoshop Poochie overtop of her.

Because, really, the press release is so depressingly transparent. It's horrifying. This is almost as bad as the "token Moor" you get in the weaker Robin Hood adaptations. Actually, no, this is worse.

C'mon, the token Moor was the best part about that crapfest.

Well, that and Alan Rickman.

The first episode promises to be a break from Disney tradition: it's actually just a solid half-hour of Disney executives pissing on A.A. Milne's grave. Those guys have huge bladders, apparently.

Yeah, necrophilia doesn't play well with kids. That's more a teen or adult audience.

Lovely. He's a kung-fu hippie from gangsta city, he's a rappin' surfer, we're the fool he pities.

That tomboyish girl is one outrageous dude.

That's fantastic!

They'd even have dialogue ready for the denizens of the Hundred Acre Wood:

Pooh: Look, Scratchy, I mean Piglet, it's our new friend, Poochie.

Piglet: What's that name again? I forgot.

Poochie: The name's Poochie D.
And I rock this telly.
I'm half Joe Camel
and a third Fonzarelli.

*gag*

But wherever they go, and whatever happens to them on the way, in that enchanted place on the top of the Forest, a little boy and his Bear will always be playing. And plotting revenge.

This is so wrong on many levels...

What's wrong with leaving timeless classics alone?

Everything that Disney executives touch these days is turning to Poo(h).

Last I heard, Pixar was open to renegotiations now that Eisner was removed from power.

Considering Disney's Pooh isn't exactly "untouched", I'm not sure I understand the "issue" everyone is having.
