Good day, then
Nov. 27th, 2005 12:12 amAfter getting the wheels off and on Supercar (now prepped for winter, sah!) I came home to a freshly washed carpet. I stopped off to pick up cat litter and some treats.
The treats, that's the funny part. You see, I gave Ozzy his little cat treat when I came in. I sat down at the PC and began to type in the tale of the most beautiful car in the world.
So, I stroll out to the hall to find that Ozzy had enjoyed his treat. How much, you ask?
Well, first, lemme describe the treat. It wasn't a ball of fabric and foil, or a mouse made of fur. Nope. It was a small fabric triangle, with catnips sewn inside. Ozzy (and the other cats, too) had torn it apart, like a bad hypothesis. Catnip pieces were scattered around the hall. Ra dashed out of the room, chewing on something. I caught up to him in the office, and pulled the thin fabric (or the remnants of it) from his mouth.
The triangle was gone. Shredded. Chewed fabric and catnip (and 'other stuffings'), scattered across the hall, were all that remained.
Of course, now we've got two more of these things. Ozzy actually found the bag, and when I called him away from it, took off with the bag caught around his head. Cynra eventually managed to get it off, but not before he was emotionally upset.
Afterwards, we went to see Harry Potter & the Macguffin du Jour, which we enjoyed. I think some of these people (of which you're likely one) didn't like it too much, but I enjoyed it. A common complaint (or at least one I remember) was that you had to have read the book to enjoy the film. Having read the book, I can't judge that, but I think they managed to cut extraneous stuff without killing the film.
Dinner afterwards was with several members of the Browncoats at the Yonge & Eglington Pickle Barrel. It was okay, although the waiter apparently didn't quite agree that we wanted seperate bills.
The menu there was a bit much. I couldn't figure out if I wanted just appetizers, a plate of nachos, or what. So I got French Onion Soup and a hamburger. Eh.
All in fun, and filling. Now, to bed, to dream of German sports cars.
