Overall, good ep. I can see Anna Lucia hooking up with Sayeed, which is both creepy and sexy.

I wonder if Locke will invite Eko into the cult of the "hey, this island is love".

Although, apparently lots of stuff happens next week. Jack & Kate snog, and Locke is just a biiiit too late to press the Excecute button.

I got choked up/teary-eyed at the Rose/Bernard and Jin/Sun (names?) reunions.

I'm not terribly impressed with Ana Lucia as a character, nor with Michelle's performance so far.

I love how Jack gets armed because he finds out one of his people is being held hostage by a gun-toting woman who's already shot another of his pals, and somehow he's the asshole. Yeesh, that show.

I think the issue was that going in toting guns would probably have just ensured that at least two more people would wind up dead. This way, everyone goes on with their angst filled island lives.

HA HA HA! Awesome, that's wicked, I didn't make the Gilgamesh/Enkidu connection to Locke and Eko, except when they showed the "Enkidu's Pal" clue I yelled out "Gilgamesh!" really loud to people in the other room.

I've a feeling the Execute thing won't necessarily be resolved next week; possibly just "introduced". Like, that's where it'll end.

I really thought Kate might have had feelings for Sawyer -- and think the kiss might be for thanking Jack for saving his life. I think Jack and AL have a bit of a connection -- he responded far more than that brief chance encounter at the end of last season would predicate. Did something more happen? Was there more to the conversation? Was there more... that wasn't conversation? An airport (or airplane) hookup?

That said, Michael Giacchino can take an already powerful emotional moment (Jin/Sun, Rose/Bernard) and make it into a tidal wave of sappiness. I didn't cry (I think that Buffy's season 2 and 5 finales -- and Angel's "I Will Remember You" ep -- hold that distinction, along with maybe the "Laura" stealth fighter moment in BSG) but I was on the precipice.

I can't wait to see what happens when Michael and Mr. Eko watch the orientation video next week.

Jack and AL did meet in the airport, and I think a kind of chemistry was implied by the scene.

Yes, indeed. They met there for the first time. However, something might have happened between there and when the plane crashed -- at the airport, or on the plane, or something. I suspect we haven't seen the whole story just yet.

Rose/Bernard was strong for me because I knew (KNEW!) something horrible could happen to either one of them at any minute they were on screen. And I just needed them to get back together.

Is Giachinno the director, or the composer, or which? I don't watch credits on TV shows that closely.

I thought it was Locke & Eko who are gonna watch the video?

And I know that AL & Foxy had an encounter in the lavatory. At least in MY version they did.

Of course, that leaves the question of which one is which. Because Enkidu died, leading Gilgamesh to seek immortality.
