Nov. 9th, 2005 02:44 pmFirst off: You all suck. I demand you go back to my Sub Mariner foe joke and tell me how humorous it is.
Secondly: it's been a year since Halo 2 came out. And what a lovely year it's been. I've decided I really like the Relic map, as it's fun, a good size (but not stupid sized) and pretty. Regardless of what some spherical poultry thieves think, the handicap feature works wonderfully. I recall one time ramming Cynra with a banshee, with handicap on; she flew halfway across the map, but didn't die. Until I hit her again.
Apparently Layton will pull the trigger Nov 24. "You see Dese, Steve? You might wanna grow some." Harper has no confidence in the government, apparently, but even less in himself. That's sad.

Date: 2005-11-09 08:55 pm (UTC)A) This is the critical one. You allow the Commission to continue to dig up dirt, for the full release on 1 Feb. Even if Martin is cleared, it's a damning document that will be fresh in the minds of the voters.
B) You get a lot more warning and campaigning in. A Non-Confidence Vote on will result in a Christmas/New Year election (the Five Week rule after the GG has put the boot to the current government). Two and a half months is better than five weeks, especially for a party like the NDP, that has a lot of work ahead of itself.
C) You aren't seen as being "in bed" with the Conservatives. Despite the Tories blemished record the NDP are a little too "left" to be in cahoots with the Conservatives. It could have a negative effect on the party, especially as Layton and Harper have several platform points that are quite contradictory.
That's my call, anyway.
Doug.

Date: 2005-11-09 09:41 pm (UTC)B Five week rule? What five week rule? The legal minimum is 36 days.
C Yes, the desire for the two parties to not be seen in bed with each other is clearly present these days. It's not like they're having very public negotiations and agreements these days.
