Damn. That would have been a nice topic to discuss.
Saw the much reviled Aqua episode of Smallville yesterday. You know, it wasn't THAT bad. In fact, I'd put it almost as good as the Flash episode. The jokeyness was a bit much ("I'm not ready to join the JLA (Junior Lifeguard Association) quite yet!" [rimshot]), and the actors playing Braniac and Aquaman were kinda wooden, even for this show (are surfer guys supposed to sound like that? Because I know history teachers aren't supposed to sound like they've just had major dental surgery).
Okay, I'll admit that getting "I don't travel with an entourage" made me feel cool. So that's good.
And, yes, a giant mountain lake in the middle of Kansas DOES stretch SOD until it begins to grunt "Okay, that's starting to sting a little", since it don't look NOTHING like a crater.
But, yeah, for a comics fanboy (even one who recognizes the inherent superiority of Marvel) it was a joy.
I really want to see a Legion of Superheros episode.
