Smackdown my bottom!
Oct. 10th, 2005 11:08 amI missed No Mercy at Creighton's last night, which is a shame, as the crowd is one that always has a good time. As an example of this, I present to you
noizangel's If No Mercy were a gay soap opera.
She's repelled by the blood, but loves the homoerotic content. Whatta girl.

Date: 2005-10-12 12:15 am (UTC)This was just a fairly poor one, really. I thought SummerSlam was pretty good, and others have been good. I'm just not thrilled with Smackdown! lately (it's still decent enough to watch, but about half the show, I tend to not care about.) Batista as the champ doesn't work for me, I really don't care for the the MNM/LOD angles, or half the roster. The cruiserweight division, which was once the highlight of not only Smackdown! but WCW before that, has been shoved to Velocity, which I never remember to watch.
The only decent things going are - Benoit as the US Champ, and a pretty good group of challengers for it (Christian and Booker... Buckwheat is the comic relief, and quite good at that), The Undertaker, The Ortons, The Mexicools (Velocity, apparently), Mister Kennedy... um... a few more - Hardcore Holly is a solid performer.
I realise that RAW is the "Flagship" show, but if SD is supposed to be a seperate brand, then screwing it with poorer writing and talent isn't the smart thing to do, IMO.
