I wasn't too impressed with RDA's performance as a guest in the first episode too...
However.
Bowder is actually not doing a too bad job, considering that he's stepping into a role that was written for RDA. What was INCREDIBLY BAD, AS BAD AS ANYTHING BAD YOU CAN IMAGINE, was the first six episodes absolutely ruined by Claudia Black. Once her character was sent off to bugger another galaxy (or something), the overall palatability of the show went a couple of dozen notches up.
That's odd, because if I had to pick the bad apple fo the two of them, Bowder was always it. Black's at least easy on the eyes, and I enjoyed her in Pitch Black.
