So, headlight on the Smart went out. Crap, says I, wondering how much a headlight costs from MB.

Call up the dealership, no problem, it's under warranty. Drive in this morning ("Just come by anytime after 10:30", they say), talk to the nice lady at the desk, chat with Justin, the Smart Sales rep. They want to do a dinner for customers as well as arrange a viewing of the new Pink Panther movie (which won't be for a while, apparently).

Was there ever a militant gay street gang called the Pink Panthers? There should have been.

Anyway, we kibbitz for a while (and twice I'm asked if I'd like to top up my tea), and before you know it, car's ready.

And, because they're so nice, it's washed and vacuumed for me, so I don't even need to do that much work to get it ready for the Smart Rally tomorrow afternoon. Justin even gave me a handful of info cards (or as I like to call them, "shut up and read this" cards) about the smart which answer all the questions complete strangers are compelled to ask.

I love those guys.

There's a movie called 'Jeffery' - which is awesome - and Partick Stewart is one of the Pink Panthers. ;)

It's a good movie - very very funny, though also very very gay.

And he's less militant than swishy and looking to stop gay-bashing. While checking out hot guys with his partnet who's in 'Cats'.

Funny stuff.

No, but the closest thing was the Village People. Oh sure, they looked fun on the outside, but behind the scenes, they terrorized the Divas of Disco. They're the reason Disco died, having strong-armed all the other groups out of their territory. Ever wonder what happened to ABBA? They were so traumatized by the experience that they changed their look and name to... yup, you guessed it... Marilyn Manson and his crowd. Donna Summer? Well... she killed the real Michael Jackson when he was still a kid and took his place.

Okay... I'm officially in a strange mood. Though I do think we need some good Disco conspiracies.

Cap'n Picard wasn't militant. He was flaming, though. And he made full use of his Shakespearean talents, especially at the end. He's the sort of actor that you could throw anything at him, and he'd take it in stride.
