Jul. 7th, 2002 11:17 pmQuick panel recap, for those of ya who couldn't make it.
Survivor Panel: Fun. Panelists were outnumbered at least once during the event, which is good. We talked and kvetched about Survivor.
What's New in gaming: I OWNED this panel. I ran it with an Iron first. I love moderating. And my vast surface knowledge of the game industry came in useful. I edumacated people.
Movies in Review: Fun. We got to talk a lot. Not much argument. Minority Report was good. This was a fact.
Fantasy: Hardcore and to the Extreeeeeeme! It was a wrestling panel. Next year, we're going for a full programming stream (or just one a day).
Psi Corps: What the hell were they thinking? Good panel. Basic conclusion: Psi Corps not good idea. But something would be needed, because Telepaths would be COMPLETELY untrustable.
Spider-Man, the movie: Christ, it was a 5 o'clock panel. We talked about it; there are geeks more upset that Gwen Stacy was left out than about the Web Shooters.
Then, we left. I got a burrito at Lone Star, but was filled up by it.
The party... Ah, well. I supposed good intentions count for SOMETHING.

Date: 2002-07-08 06:15 am (UTC)You schooled the room on the What's New panel, dude. And we were most impressed by the Stella Artois at the party. I'll be hitting the Kareoke Party for sure, if not SFX itself.

Date: 2002-07-08 08:05 pm (UTC)The Wu-Tang Clan came by at about 2 - 2:30 am, I think. That was the whole crew, and the name seemed a good idea at the time, so that should give you an indication of our state. We had a couple of drinks, chatted with a few people and moved on. We were in bed by 3:30, and I'm sure you heard what happened to Dave.
Aw. Like, SFX itself? Is there more stuff to do this time?
I'm coming to sing for sure for sure, tho.

Date: 2002-07-08 08:40 pm (UTC)So long as it doesn't cost me an arm and leg, I'm golden. Leo and Sarah said they'd be coming too.
