If I remember right, the final theme actually came from the original Zelda game.

Ah, Zelda. I never played that. But the sword pose and the dagger toss made me think of G&G.

Was G&G ever released on the NES? I only remember it as a stand-up arcade machine.

I always assumed it was. My brothers all played the console games, and it was mostly hockey with them. During that period, I was playing SSI gold box games on the 64.

My console experience started with the Intellivision, and didn't restart until a brief dalliance with the PS1.

The choreography during the Tetris sequence was delightful, though.
