Happy Mother's Day, then.
May. 8th, 2005 01:10 pmDinner with the families last night at Jerusalem in North York (that's Arab East Jerusalem,as opposed to the Eglington & Bathurst Jewish West Jerusalem).
Dinner was had at the buffet, as usual. They really have some staffing issues, as there's never anyone available to cut some Shwarma, and we practically had to tackle the waiter to get drinks. They also sat my uncle at one table, and when we came in for our reservation later, sat us at another.
Oy.
Anyway, dinner with mum for Mother's day (a day early, but I doubt the Holy Virgin will come to strike us down for celebrating a Hall-iday a day early). Got her a gift certificate for Home Hardware, but only because I didn't know if an iron arch would actually be something she'd want for the garden. Possibly could be used to bind the cedars in front of the front door together.
But, yes. Happy Mother's Day to all the maternally inclined. God bless you for the good work you do, staying home to rear the next generation.
