The Old Man on Stage
Apr. 29th, 2005 12:19 amThanks to a heads up from Jesse I went to see Warren Ellis talk about the creative urge, why he's still doing comics and other stuff. Then he took questions.
Good session. The venue was ass (hey, let's get CHAIRS in here! Nah, too much work), but he was an engaging speaker who gave the audience what he had, and what they wanted. He talked about comics, movies, novels, and whiskey.
As I said, he's not quite Harlan Ellison, which is good, because that means he didn't actually beat any audience members with a cane to within an inch of their lives.
