rentagurkha was in England, nottheterritory was busy getting a conference ready, rfmcdpeiand madmanofprague were working, and pyat never replied to the RSVP, but I think it was his birthday.
In any case, a good time was had by all. Once again, leftovers were had, but I ain't gonna complain about Pizza for a few days.
Work Joe brought over another of his Halo Playin' friends, who proceeded to wipe up the floor with, well, everyone. Even Charles and TCBT found themselves helpless before his H2 fu. It was a bit embarrassing.
Today, Snra & I slept in and decided not to go to the Comic Show. So we puttered about and I assembled the newly acquired Scotts fertilizer Spreader. Distributed fertilizer and raked up some more leaves n' branches. That gave me two more bags of yard waste for Wednesday; then we'll go get some of the municipal compost from last year's and put it down and get some shade seed for under the trees.
Lemme tell you, doing yard work in the hot sun sucks. Doing it under overcast skies? Worse, actually. I don't even get to tan.
So, at the conclusion of that little chore-grouping, I end up not-warm (not quite COLD, but sure as heck ain't as toasty as I would have been if it had been sunny), and sore. Oh, yeah, sore. Lemme tell you, when you don't use a lot of your muscles regularly, when you do they get back at you. "Oh, look who's come crawling back!"
Oh, yah: got a copy of Arcana Evolved. Good Lord. This book wouldn't burn up on re-entry, it's full colour, and it has full rules. Wow. Sweet.
Borrowed TCBT's copy of The Book of Erotic Fantasy. You know, it's not THAT bad. Seems fairly straightforward. The rules for sex seem buried within the skill section, and I find the idea of a Paladin maxed out on Peform (Sexual Techniques) kind of strange, and the armour description says there's a fine mail undershirt that ain't there, but overall, no big whoop.
Now is the moment when I resist the urge to be curious as to how well it would fit in a Blue Rose game. You should thank me.
