If I had the answer to that question, I'd be a millionaire.
Probably because it makes sense if you have at least a low level mistrust of your government, which you've told me on multiple occasions is as common down there as is is up here.
Far more common, I'd say, but I digress. I guess my own view that democratic government is by design incompetent and not capable of anything truly sinister wins the day for me. That's obviously not a common viewpoint.
