Who will find this absolutely delightful, in completely different ways.

The above link is to a website entitled: C.S. Lewis: The Devil's Wisest Fool.
I cannot be CERTAIN it is not a new riff on Game of Satan, (or if I've even linked to the right Game of Satan page) but it certainly has a lot of effort for a joke page.

I suspect it's real. Lewis is often considered as good as a Satanist by some fundamentalists. In the early 90s there was even a series of articles in a fairly respected Christian magazine trying to prove that he had a homosexual relationship with (I believe) his brother. The evidence was things like scans of his writing pads made under UV light and so on.

Lewis also used to be specifically named in the Dark Dungeons tract, but the reference has been removed.

So, in light of this, what should we make of the promotion Disney is doing amongst fundamentalist churches regarding their film of The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe? (It sounds similar to the promotion done for that atrocious Mel Gibson film.) *raising eyebrow*

Me, I love Lewis (Narnia, anyway -- I've yet to get into his nonfiction... stupid library underfunding...). But I'm an ecumenical pagan, so that's hardly surprising. :D

Well, again, it's only SOME fundamentalists. Still, the promotion may backfire on Disney.

"NEW!

A concerned citizen asked in my guestbook how do we recognize witches. Well, usually we catch them while they are dancing naked around a fire
in the middle of woods in the night. Those cases are rather obvious."

BWHAHAHAHA ^_^''' Hehehehe. You made my day.

Cheers!

I'm not sure that's a joke, sadly. :P

It's no joke. There are actually people who have so much time and energy on their hands that they will seek to tear down the reputation of someone who engaged in a different brand of Christianity than their own. According to the article, Catholics were on a par with Satanists. That just sickens me. And the idea that those childrens' books are anything kids shouldn't read makes me angry.

Okay, I'm done now.
