That's sixteen minutes and thirty seconds to go. As with all airport computer terinals, it sucks, and I dearly regret not purchasing a laptop.

I have been in LV for the past few days (I can't really count. I arrived around midnight Sunday/Monday and am departing 11:55 Wednesday. Three sleeps, with no other options to count available.

The city makes me sick. Monday was spent in a state of mild queasiness, and Tuesday in distinct illness. [livejournal.com profile] mr_weasel and Doc Brian guided me back to a state of semi health.

All things being equal, I should have gone to GenCon. I'll speak about my activities at the con in a non-public post, as I do all things that could be considered complaining.

It is also possible (FUCK THIS TERMINAL AND ITS FUCKIN LOUSILY FUCKIN PLACED BACKSPACE AND HOME KEYS FUCK!) that the game industry makes me ill, as a good amount of the timeI spent at the Wolf was in various states of illness.

The sole highlights of the trip were dinner with some good fellows last night, a quick lunch with Matt Forbeck & The Writer Formerly Known as Ken Hite, and a breakfast (danish and free grape soda, quantities limited) with Chris Pramas, [livejournal.com profile] righteousfist and a variety of other fellows, including a very short visit from [livejournal.com profile] jadasc who only had enough time to give a quick summary of a vampire based strip show.

The constant clattering of slot machines is like something Dickens would write about in terms of incredible inhumanity.

I received swag with a value of >0, but not much, although I am proud to now own the only setting book so far produced for d20 Future.

This Terminal Hates Me. and I hate it. Barring what would be a certainly violent reaction from various airport/homeland security types, I'd rip its keyboard from its docking station and hurl it across the terminal.

I called my wife shortly ago. If you read this, please apologize to her for my incosiderateness. I miss her.

It was good to see everyone I saw, and I miss everyone I missed. I like to think I did my job, but as I said, locked post.

Now I need to figure out who I get to dissapoint Friday: Creighton, [livejournal.com profile] pyat and his forlorn devils, or my wife. The joyful options I find myself facing fill me with a sense of glee generally reserved for death row inmates.

Good night. I get to try to sleep soon, on a plane inthe seat that doesn't recline.

I hate you all, but in a special way.

2:23. That's about $4.

Your wish? My command.

The show is called Bite!, and it's playing at the Stratosphere hotel. "Strip show" is a little harsh; there's not a whole lot of attention paid to the act of taking off clothing. There are dancers, and sometimes they are topless and sometimes they aren't. The whole thing would be PG-13 if it weren't for the breasts.

The show itself is a rock-n-roll revue focusing on the trials and travails of a Lord of the Vampires and his coven of vampire brides. The plot (such as it is) is a cross between Bram Stoker's Dracula and Rocky Horror. There's acrobatics, magic tricks, fire spinning, and at least one real singer in the bunch. It's full of classic rock and metal songs, and lasts about an hour and fifteen minutes, if my mental clock was right. It's more fun than I expected, and I was expecting a good time. Plus, there's a decent bar/restaurant in the hotel for afterwards.

Anything else I can tell you?
