Very much enjoying KOTOR2, but I'm sure that by this point in the last game I had a frickin' lightsaber. And some assistants.

Rain's started. That sucks.

Uday brought up some stuff for me from Napanee. My copy of the Planescape boxed set ( to go with Planes of Chaos & Plans of Law), Top Secret SI & Top Secret SI: High Stakes Gamble and Torg.

No, I already had Torg here. I don't know why it's on my mind right now, though. I think I just really, really want to play Torg.

Torg, torg, torg, torg.

Top Secret remains one of my favourite systems. I think that may be because I haven't cracked the boxes in going on a decade.

It's once again possible that, once I go through them, my higher brain functions will wake up, dropkick my sense of nostalgia through a plate glass window, and go "Good Lord, man! What were you remembering this shit fondly for?"

Or possibly, it'll still be pretty darn neat.

I guess we'll have to see, eh?

I own every single freakin' Planescape product, but I foolishly loaned out my copies of the core box and Planes of Chaos. I haven't seen either in years. So very sad.

I used to love Top Secret. We played a series of games in high school using that system that were murder mysteries, not spy stuff, just investigations, crime show stuff. It worked really well.

Though I agree, I haven't looked at the system since so... maybe I'm just remembering being 16.

The original TS, or the SI version? SI would work very well as a police procedural.

I never had love for the original. It seemed too much a part of the "tables n' charts" era of TSR, when they had all these wargaming grognards lurking in the background like Lon Chaney from a good version of Phantom of the Opera.
