I adore Stats Canada
Dec. 29th, 2004 04:36 amOkay, looking at a profile of Milton, I see a few things.
A) It would suck to be a single guy here. Sixty Two percent of the population over 15 is married or in a common law relationship. Of the single people, men outnumber women 4295 to 3385.
bnddbl07, I'm looking at you.
B) By average, I'm under-earning, but Snra is over-earning. By Median income, we're above the median for a two person household.
C) Our house is around average value.
D) 15 people live in town who practice 'other' religions (Includes Aboriginal spirituality, Pagan, Wicca, Unity - New Thought - Pantheist, Scientology, Rastafarian, New Age, Gnostic, Satanist, etc.). And for once, Orthodox outnumbers Muslims. Shazam!
D1) I could have every Buddhist in Milton over to my house for a BBQ. I could also have all the 'others' over, but, really. Do you want to take the chance there's a Scientoligist in town?
E) Just like Snra & YHB, 30% of the population did not live in Milton five years ago.
This info, of course, is all from the previous census, so it's a bit out of date. But interesting.
And, if you're really bored, you can glean fascinating yet useless information about Snra & myself from it.
