Drove back to Kingston today. Due to delays on this end (i.e. YHB not really wanting to get out of bed) our arrival time was delayed, and we ended up not getting a chance to go shopping (so no Kingston Gaming Nexus for the remainder of 2004; Does anyone know if they have the Doom board game in stock? Or Chez Goth?).

We did arrive at Chez Piggy before Mater & Pater Bitter, and had a small opportunity to help arrange seating for the people present.

Mater & Pater, who were there to celebrate their 35th wedding anniversary (but they did not KNOW this, since they assumed they were there for Qusay's birthday). In attendance were a number of their freinds from Napanee and Ottawa.

Dinner was great. In spite of two decades living in and around Kingston, and another passing around it, I've never been to Chez Piggy before. This is now rectified, and will not be allowed to backslide. The salad was chick peas, the dinner was rice and chicken, and dessert creme brulee, but none of them as boring as that. And YHB helped himself to two cups of coffee to help on the ride home. Remember that.

Afterwards, we headed home to ACB where there was cake to be had (of course, after said great dinner, YHB was stuffed). En Route, we were approached at a red light, not for change, but for information on The Smart. Now, admittedly, it's not something Snra & I are unacustomed to; after a week of it, we realize that having one of the damn things is something not unlike a sales position with the corporation.

But having someone knock on our window for info was a first. After they'd completed their line of questioning (or rather, the light had turned green), they returned to their companions, exclaiming "It's a fucking Mercedes!" Yes, yes it is. Sort of.

Home for cake and to meet Qusay's friend from England, Mary. Nice lady. She seemed a bit squeamish about Kill Bill, but many are like that.

Snra & I left around ten thirty for the ride home. Since I wanted to make sure I was alert for the ride home, I snagged a can of Red Bull (now available at gas stations everywhere!) when we stopped off in Belleville to top up the tank (and answered some questions for a curious gas deliveryman). When Snra & I stopped off at the Port Hope service station (more car related questions), I chugged that bugger.

So, now, with about 700% my normal caffeine intake circulating through my bloodstream, and my 8 active brain cells bound by a super-charged caffeine molecule, I sit here, awake. Everyone else? Asleep.
