Actually, I can't think of 50 things you probably don't know about me, if you've read this for any period of time.

My verbal diarrhea is just that bad.

Sorry!

Edit: If you'd like to ask anything, however, consider this your opportunity.

Actually, I figured I'd start now. Things will get updated, and this post will be forward dated. Stuff that's probably knowledge will be noted with TYMK (This You May Know).

1) I have two brothers. Adrian and Eugene, aka Qusay and Uday. I call them that because if you can't joke about the sociopathic sons of a vicious tyrant, who CAN you joke about?

2) My mother also had two daughters, both of whom were miscarried. If anyone uses the "did your mom have any kids that lived" joke, they stop being my friend.

3) I have attended four institutes of higher learning, and graduated two of them. Maybe. Carleton University, where I did not work as hard as I could/should have, and had to leave. Algonquin College, where I worked hard and graduated from their Print Journalism program. Humber College, where I think I graduated from Computer Programming. But that was a long time ago, in another city. I also took several credits in St. Lawrence's writing certificate during a year in exile.

4) Lapsed Coptic Orthodox, even though I went to Catholic school for 14 years. The Coptic church is the Egyptian branch of Orthodox Christianity. Having to live in a primarily Muslim nation means I have a genetic predisposition to keep my head down. I think I'm over it.

5) I like to think I'm there for people when they need me, but I'm also a slacker.

6) As a kid, I'd cry at the drop of a hat.

7) I used to be skinny. VERY skinny. Then I got a job at a grocery store, and built a suitable lean muscle frame. Then I went to the four institutes of higher learning, and go whalloped with the Freshman 15 every frickin' time.

8) I've only gotten freaky with a handful of ladies. But I adored each and every one of them.

9) I talk through my nose. I'm trying to control it, but, man, it ain't easy.

10) I've been to GenCon twice. Both times with [livejournal.com profile] mr_weasel, the second time with [livejournal.com profile] eyebeams. They were some of the most fun you can have. Four days isn't enough. Oddly enough, very little gaming got done. (TYMK)

11) I game semi-regularly, primarily through the great willpower of my Thursday night GM and the more lax willpower of [livejournal.com profile] nottheterritory and [livejournal.com profile] mr_weasel.

12) I've been married to my wife Cindy for 4.5 years. Much of that was glorious, with the rest being report cards (she's a teacher) and moving. To quote Chris Rock, if you've never stood over their dinner with a box of rat poison in your hand, you don't really love them. Hey, he said it.

13) I've got a bit of a short fuse. It doesn't go off so much as much as smoulder. Often, my wife will keep me from going off on someone else.

14) I'm politically inactive. I voted for ex-Lib Carolyn Parrish last June because the Reforma-Tory candidate REALLY pissed me off. But I'd rather vote Green, or possibly orange.

15) Not counting my brothers, I've gotten into exactly one fight in my life. Kicked his ASS. Guy checked me from behind in the hallway, backslapped him, and I was kicking and punching upside his haid. Had him in a reverse headlock and was slamming his skull into the lockers by the time the teachers peeled me off him.

16) I took two weeks of Tae Kwon Do, which may have helped in # 15.

17) At this point, the LJer who I've known second longest is [livejournal.com profile] mr_weasel. We didn't have as much to do with each other when we lived in Ottawa, but when I moved down here, and then he did, and then D&D 3 came out, we've gotten closer. He's a good friend, with a lot on his plate. I await his completion of school, so he can come up for air. (YMKT)

18) I long to get my damn car, so it can give me just a whit more mobility and freedom.

19) I'm really good at keeping secrets, but sometimes the people I tell them to aren't so good.

20) I like reading comics, and I'm glad a combination of the creativity of Kurt Busiek and the fannish enthusiasm of Wes Smiderle got me back in. But I don't know if I can afford them anymore.

21) I like taking public transit so I can read. The one thing I dislike about taking the GO is having to finish my tea before I can get some reading done.

22, 23) I love olives. My wife does not. That means I don't get olives on my pizza anymore. When I was a kid, we used to get pizza every Sunday, with olives, green peppers, and pepperoni. The pizzarria used to put a ball of dough in the centre of the pizza, instead of a plastic table, to keep the pizza safe from box crushing. Uday, Qusay and I would fight over who got the ball. I miss getting olives on my pizza. If I order pizza with you, I will ask for olives. Plesae let me get them.

24) I really hate some of the people in the [livejournal.com profile] toronto community.

25) If I ask you to RSVP, and you don't, I get upset.

26) I sometimes miss Kingston. There' something about the city in the fall, with brisk winds off the lake, parks, and limestone buildings, that make me feel like I'm a teenager again. And I really miss being a teenager.

27) I'm at that point in life where the phrase "Youth is wasted on the young" could be printed on my coffee mug.

28) I was once busted for shoplifting. I was innocent. I had just finished my weekly comics pickup at Comics Plus, and, since it was winter, and I had no gloves, I stuffed the bag in my jacket. I went to check out the comics at Bookland, and found nothing else I needed. As I was leaving, the proprietor grabbed me, and took the comics from my jacket. I protested my innocence, and got them to check the receipt. To this day, we joke about it when I visit them.

29) I am not still in touch with anyone I know from highschool. If I could be, I'd like to be back in touch with Carter, who was my best friend back then. I'm in touch with slightly more people from University.

30) I've been to Egypt maybe three or four times in my life. I'd like to go back.

Ahh. That must have been what I was thinking of - you posted a link to a "dorkarmy" website?

lol

Have fun. Seems like a good game - I have friends who got 10 hours sleep in the first week it came out.
