Farscape? Lots of little things. Like the muppets. Can't dig the muppets, especially Rygel. Ugh. The lack of any really connection to Earth is another one. Yeah, I know Crichton's an IASA boy and talks about home and all that, but the overall setting is too removed from Earth for me to care. Firefly's got that problem too, now that I think about it. I don't revile Farscape, but it doesn't grab me much either.

Actually, I like Rygel more than anything else on the show.

He looks just like the guy who does his voice, too.

I think this points to the core of the general incompatibility of our SF tastes. Not sure what it sures about either of us, mind you, but there it is.

I like it when evil horrible men are in situations they cannot stand but are unable to change and must try their best to manage them. If he'd been a midget in makeup I'd have felt the same; he would have just looked cheesier.

That's interesting, because I think he does look cheesy as a muppet, although, to be fair, you're probably right that he'd look worse as a midget.

Hey, it's a Henson show. Muppets are what they DO. Besides, it's that,or CGI.
