A quick question

Last night, while visiting the MPL on my way home to drop off a couple books, I returned a couple books and picked up The Long Halloween (it just seemed so appropriate).

On my way out, I saw that the first four Dark Tower books were available in the "we had these donated but already had copies" pile for fifty cents each. So, since I had a toonie in my pocket, I figured I'd go for it.

So: Did I make a horrible mistake?

Privateer Press (good guys, even if their retailers are a little cracked) has announced a CMG called Monsterpocalypse, where all the figs are A) giant monsters, B) military vehicles, or C) buildings to be destroyed.

Although (or perhaps, because) I'm no fan of KISS, I really enjoy this Letter from Beth to Pete Criss.

You say you and the boys just can't find the sound. Here: loud guitars and lots of people bellowing in a not particularly melodious way. There. Done. There's your "sound." You ain't Bowie. And, honestly, if the band is really searching for a new sound (what, is Gene going to go prog-rock? Ace trotting out a folk protest ballad?), they probably don't even need you, Peter! You're the drummer for KISS! What are you going to do, recommend more hydraulics on the drum platform? I think they'll get by without you for an evening.
