Horrors of the internet
Feb. 8th, 2007 11:13 amThanks to the ever vigilance of EW.com, I today found out about Stardolls.com, which allows you to dress up your favourite celebrities as cyber-paper dolls. So if, for example, you're a creepy thirtysomething man who's a Michelle Trachtenberg fan (none of those left around here, IIRC), you can dress her up. Or, of probably more relevance, you can also dress up Johny Depp.
Just try not to enjoy it too much.

Holiday kvetching
Feb. 8th, 2007 01:47 pmFeh. Irritation begins to build. As has been the case for a few months, I'm planning on getting Cynra a copy of the Beauty & the Beast S1 DVD for Valentine's Day. So, last week I order. Turns out, with free shipping, I won't get it until almost March. If I choose a service that'll get it to me by VD, it will cost, and can ya believe this, as much as if I bought it at the stores at cover price.
Well, I think, fuck you Heather, and go to see what Future Shop will have it for. The exact same price, but I can request to pick it up at the store, saving shipping! Yay!
Only... I can't request to pick it up at the store.
Come ON, people! It's like a competition to see who can NOT have me give them money. I'll bet you fucking Wal-Mart wouldn't give me all this hassle.
edit: And, according to the review in the Star today, there are no extras on it. So I'm busting my butt to buy my wife a crappy version of a tv show she liked ten years ago.
