Woke up today with my bronchial tubes coated with crud. Lovely.

Quick panel recap

Friday panels:

Lost Season 2: Moderated by Justin O'Donnel, who I have much in common with. Scarily so. Good panel, although crowded.

Infinite Crisis Vs Civil War: Not really a contest. I would like, however, to request in the future, only people who A) know about a thing and B) request to be on a panel be put on a panel. Please?

Saturday panel:

Video Game Movies: Uwe Boll must Die, and it's bad for a genre when the best ones are Tron & Mortal Kombat.

MC'D Masquerade. Had much fun. Really needed better mic. Very often couldn't be heard. Kilt is interesting fashion style. Wore it Canadian fashion (pair of Stanfields underneat). Did impromptu Highland Dance-off. Made fun of butterfly ballots/Florida Electoral Commission. Suprise visit from Ninja Inspector. [livejournal.com profile] elizard100's FSM costume was very nice.

Sunday Panel:

Superman and Smallville mythos: Fun, although it seems like Superman, because of almost 70 years of near constant serial story telling, has such a diffused mythos that as long as he's Kal-El from Krypton, pretty much anything can be done. Every Superman story is an Elseworlds story.

WTF?

In the past week, I've seen a French kung-fu movie and an Indian superhero movie. Am I a terrorist?

Oh yeah

Comics Should Be Good, well, is good. A good discussion of the Superman/Lois dynamic, with emphasis on the movieverse, as opposed to any particular string of the comics universe.

It does not account for the Lori Lemaris factor, but it a nice read all the same.

Edit: Atlantean typo.

Ah, crap

So now I've started surfing for TT Masquerade reviews.

The only mentions so far are my own and [livejournal.com profile] redeem147's.

I'm so fuckin' sad.

So, Sunday, I'm on my way out of the hotel when I decide I want the Toyota Drive Canada pamphlet. I'm flipping through it when George Takei walks up to the lobby.

He says to the receptionist "I'd like to consolidate my coins into bills."

Now, the thing is, being George Takei, he sounds extra sexy doing it.

He opens his mouth, and velvet comes out.

Man, wish I'd caught his speechifying.
