Sep. 19th, 2003 09:49 pm1) What is the next convention you plan to attend? How far will you have to travel for it?
I'm planning to go to the San Diego Comic Con, if only so I can hang out with both Badass &
graveyardgreg, as well as shop and watch movie trailers.
Oddly enough, it's held in San Diego.
2) How many conventions have you attended and what do you do while at a con?
Don't ask. It's at least a couple dozen by now. Generally, I game, do the dealer's room, go to panels, etc. It all depends what kinda con it is, really. Hangin' & chillin are whats I likes best. And, really, at a con, you're 90% certain if you game, it's gonna suck.
3) What is your favorite part of going to cons and what do you wish more cons did?
God, that's tough. The best part of cons is that it's a big get together carnivally atmosphere where, get this, everyone's a geek of some kind. And they're just hanging out, relaxing. Sure, there's BAD people there. But overall, it's fun for everyone.
4) What is your favorite convention and why?
SDCC. Much as I've loved GenCon these past couple years (and if I don't go next year, I'm gonna miss seein' a few of y'all; provided that, unlike Elissa Carey, you actually exist), for me 90% of the con is the dealer's room (and hanging out with people at their booths). SDCC has a nice, small gaming events area, a massive autograph area (which is fun to visit), a dealer's room that's always fun to shop at, and great movie stuff. It's a well run, fully functional media convention the size of poughkepsie.
5) Have you ever worked con com? If no, why not?
Yes. May God have mercy on my soul.
