Aggravating events of the last 16 hours
Jul. 21st, 2002 01:13 pmSo, the missus & I decide to take in a couple movies at the local drive in.
She's all atwitter with excitement, not having been to a drive-in in a long time. The lineup was... Wow. We must have been there for 45 minutes, easy.
Anyway, so we get to the entrance, and there's a guy with a megaphone. We pull up and he's shouting "Screens 1 & 3 are sold out".
This wouldn't be a problem, if we hadn't wanted to go to see the feature on screen 3.
Feh.
Anyway, we hopped over to our local Firkin, played some trivia and nibbled on appetizers for a couple hours. Was fun.
Afterwards we decide to go do some shopping. It's nice, shopping in a 24 hour grocery store. It's very quiet. And you get to look at your fellow shoppers, picking up one or two items at 12:30 am and wonder "why does he need a bunch of asparagus at this hour?" "why is she getting a boxed chicken meal?"
Ah, well. An enjoyable evening, even if we DID have to go with plan B.
