Boxing Day Delights
Dec. 27th, 2003 05:10 pmSnra. & I had breakfast with the parents and then headed up to Kingston for some shopping & relaxing.
We picked up a copy of Firefly from HMV, in addition to Let It Be... NAKED!, BNL: Everything to Everybody, and the Boney M Christmas album.
PIcked up a few odds n' ends (a couple boxes o' Cards for 2k4, some wrapping paper) and headed downtown.
Downtown Kingston was quiet, as it usually is when the students are off devastating their own hometowns for a change. We hopped into the KGN where we dropped off a card for the proprietors and I picked up some game stuff w/ Christmas money.
I picked up a couple d20 Modern supplements (the Forensics book from Hogshead, which appears to be standard d20 instead of Modern, on closer examination) and a Military SB for d20M from a publisher whose name escapes me.
The Military book isn't quite as good as the RLR books from Holistic. There's no index, and the ToC is kind of muddled. A fair bit of crunch, though.
Did pick up the latest Dragon, if only for the Sha'ir clas updated to d20.
Also got the City book from FFG. Primarily because I love urban adventures, but also because the author gave me a cookie once. You can't underestimate how those things help.
Then we went to Wayfarer books where we picked up a few things, and then had Indian for dinner. Once again, food was kind of skimpy, but worth it.
Drive home was nice and clear, and today we picked up Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time because Snra. much enjoyed playing Uday's copy on his PS2.
Nice and relaxing it is. Snra. is watching Crapscape upstairs, and I walk through various bits on the machine.
