thebitterguyJust in brief: The Paul Anka special Snra. Bitter & I attended tonight? Very entertaining. He's quite a showman, and the band backing him up was verah nahce.
And he's so TINY. Youc ould take him home and put him in a corner of the room.
The show was live at 8:00 pm, but that was Eastern time (8:30 in Newfoundland), so it started at 7.
He started out with Diana, and ended with My Way. The sole down point was the playing of Sammy Davis Jr & Sinatra on screens so as to have faux duets. It's just something I've started to find somewhat annoying. But for him, I cut a break, eh?
Jean 'hanging in by my fingernails' Chretien called in a request for a french song (no, swear to God), and Celine Dion called in a request for My Way.
He kept going, too. He performed during every commercial break, except one where he had to go pee.
Jesus. Paul Anka R0xx0r$. Ain' THAT a fuckin' shock.
