Oct. 15th, 2003 10:54 pmBig Land Farms for dinner tonight.
The Chicken still had its head, and the cuttlefish was staring at me. "That is not dead which can eternal lie, and given strange eons, would you like rice with that?"
Chicken's skin wasn't as crispy as normal BBQ bird, but it was edible.
Big Land Farms was, indeed, big. The owners converted an ancient Crappy Tire to make it. It's basically the superstore of Asian groceries. Lots o' Noodles. And I got some Pocky. Couldn't find curry, though.
The butcher actually cut the bird into significant chunks (and pretty much went through ever major bone in its system), but I think next time I'll stick to regular BBQ, or at least leaving the bird in two pieces (ain't bringing nothing home that's gonna stare at me, keed).
I figure if I ever want to make anything that requires non-standard (or at least non Food Basics) ingredients, it's a good place to try.
redeem147 is coming by Friday night before Motor City, so we'll turn the remainder into curry, then drive to the states to see Raven. Yeah.
