Captain Britain to end after Vampire Nation storyline.

That's sucky. The book was, IMHO, saddled with an un-necessary burden with starting off with a Secret Invasion crossover, after a mostly enjoyable lead in with the Wisdom mini-series.

On the other hand, this will now open a space for a "non-USA" comic in the MU. Maybe a decent relaunch of Alpha Fligth?

I said decent.

...I'm not sure that's possible at this point.

Cornell is going to be one of the new batch of "Wild Cards" writers IIRC...

The new anthologies have both been very good. A fresh start with only a smattering of older characters. In between Card Sharks and the New Deal were two..ok books. The Deuces anthology "Deuces Down" had some good short pieces in it. And its spread out over multiple decades. "Death Takes Five" felt more like a wrap up of various old plot points. Not a bad book and I liked seeing where characters like Yeoman ended up, but not a really great one either....

That's a shame, Richard has been enjoying those, but would agree with the burden of previous continuity issues.

He'll also be writing new Who, if I'm not very much mistaken; he is an old pal of the new boss, after all.

He's on Twitter for those who want to follow him
