Vague nostalgia, with a taste of licorice

Hanging with whisper_jeff and adamjury did fill me with the vague nostalgia someone who's been married a certain amount of time can get (or, hell, maybe it's just me) for the single life.

Not just the random casual sex, but the sheer selfishness you can have (and I'm just remembering here that being selfish isn't a bad thing when you're not imposing on someone else or breaking a promise) . Want that? Fine, you're cool. Don't wanna do that? The toilet brush will be there next week.

That and I forgot you can go through life without stuff in the fridge. I used to literally live on Ramen Noodles, garlic, carrots, onions & stewing cuts.

And I forgot my ginger ale there. Fuck. I could really go for Ginger Ale right now.

Guelph once again appeals to me. I know it's a bit of a tinier town, but it has that metropolis lite feeling I'm growing to appreciate. That, and Jeff tells stories about leaving his door open that don't end in "and the jury found me not guilty".

Props to rentaghurka. I'd assumed our first meeting would conclude in bloodshed, but no such problem there!

I still think you guys should just cut his throat and leave his body for the dogs.

1 - I'd trade the single life for the "happily married" life in a heartbeat.

2 - Have you thought about moving to Guelph (I ask selfishly in an attempt to draw more friends closer to me to make my life better)?

Jeff's done a pretty good job of convincing me not to move to Guelph lately. The "no restaraunts on Sundays" and the "game store vastly worse than the ones in Toronto" was a pretty good start.

However, there was bloodshed of a sort after you left. You should have seen Jeff's performance in Crimson Skies...

I had to lose at CS. I kicked Adam's ass so completely in Halo that I had to let him win for fear of crushing his young ego.

Justin, however, is already old and bitter so I'm not worried about his ego. :)

The grass is always greener, amigo. :)

As for Guelph moving, it is one of a myriad of possibilities. I'm pulling for High Park, myself. Nice and urban, that is, with large greenspace.

Guelph is nice. There's a cathedral there, you know, and at least one game shop.
