A Poem For My Wife.
Apr. 8th, 2009 02:58 pmMy darling.
Ten years we've been together
(nine as husband and wife).
Marriage is never easy.
Two people
squeezed into one space
causes friction
but friction smoothes things out
if it doesn't set them on fire.
Each of us has dealt with the other
changing, growing, moving together
and separately.
Our love moves and grows like an oak,
from a tiny acorn and now
strong and steadfast against the sky.
But I still won't go see Dragonball.
Ten years we've been together
(nine as husband and wife).
Marriage is never easy.
Two people
squeezed into one space
causes friction
but friction smoothes things out
if it doesn't set them on fire.
Each of us has dealt with the other
changing, growing, moving together
and separately.
Our love moves and grows like an oak,
from a tiny acorn and now
strong and steadfast against the sky.
But I still won't go see Dragonball.
